That custom template magic in PNP is documented in a way noone
understands it. It works, once you have, but I always found the
documentation hard to read. Furthermore, such a thing will only help
with NRPE where the first argument acts as real command being executed.
I do know some workarounds in Icinga 2 for that missing command
argument, but I don't have much time these days, and am certainly tired
on the weekend. Lucky you that I stumbled over your question.
In return, please test the proposed solution and send us a git patch for
the docs then, if it works (or with our solution), I'll gladly apply
that to git for 2.2 then.

How can i use specific templates voor certain tests done over
check_nrpe or check_wmi?
In pnp4nagios i made the file check_nrpe.cfg with CUSTOM_TEMPLATE =1.
This worked with icinga, but with icinga2 the real checkcommand isn't
visible in the performance data:
DATATYPE::SERVICEPERFDATA TIMET::1414059867 HOSTNAME::host
SERVICEDESC::Total Processes SERVICEPERFDATA::'Total Processes'=61
SERVICECHECKCOMMAND::check_nrpe HOSTSTATE::UP HOSTSTATETYPE::HARD
SERVICESTATE::OK SERVICESTATETYPE::HARD
Is it possible to define this in icinga2/features_enabled/perfdata en
where can i find the parameter names?
