Hi Craig, You’ll find a configuration dialog for configuring user group backends beneath Configuration/Authentication/User Group Backends. Using our latest snapshot, the setup wizard will automatically set up a user group backend in case you’ve configured LDAP authentication or ask for user group backend configuration in case you authenticate against a database.

But when I save the changes and then go to icingaweb2 => Configuration => Usergroups it says “No backend found which is able to list groups” How do I test that the group configuration actually works? Nothing in /var/log/icinga2/… has any useful info for this. This remains a mystery to me. I notice that even though I am a ‘memberof’ many groups, when I click on myself or any user in icingaweb2 ‘Configuration => Users’, it never shows me (or anyone else) belonging to a group. This is icingaweb2 downloaded from git last week. This is sort of a roadblock. Is this because I am using FreeIPA ?
