Deleted objects are marked is_active=0 inside the icinga_objects table. That 
way historical tables preserve old data for sla reports etc.

Your queries should take that into account, similar to what Icinga Web 2 does. 
You can extract the current view’s query like so for example:
http://localhost/icingaweb2/monitoring/list/services?service_problem=1&sort=service_severity&dir=desc&format=sql
