I was able to solve this one, too:

I added to the master zone the following Service check:
object Service "cluster" {
check_command = "cluster"
check_interval = 5s
retry_interval = 1s
host_name = "masterfqdn"
}
If the satellite goes down, Icinga will notify which one is affected.
