Hi.
Does anyone know of a way to write a CheckCommand definition which can run two
commands, or alternatively a Service definition which can run two
CheckCommands, and then combine the results to give a single result which
Icinga reports?
I've already written Service definitions which can take the results of two
other Service checks, and combine them to produce a single result, and this
works fine, but that then means that I have results from three Service checks
shown in Icinga: the two standard Service definitions, plus the aggregated one.
What I'm trying to achieve is a single Service check, which uses the results
of two different check command plugins.
Specific example: the "disk" check nicely monitors % usage of various
partitions, but I want to combine this with a "read/write" check so that if
the partition is mounted read/write I get the standard usage results, but if
it goes read-only I get CRITICAL no matter how full it is.
I don't want to have two separate Service checks showing usage, and
writeability, if I can avoid it.
Any ideas?
Antony.
