Hi,

I'm using mysql.
*
*
*icinga.log contains these:*
idomod: Error writing to data sink! Some output may get lost...
idomod: Please check remote ido2db log, database connection or SSL Parameters
...
idomod: Successfully connected to data sink. 19 queued items to flush.
idomod: Successfully flushed 19 queued items to data sink.

this leads into this

*ido2db.debug has a lot of these and a few others. Nothing suspicious looking (but I'm not sure what I should be looking for so I could be wrong):*
[1285747372.122402] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_start_input_data() end
[1285747372.122406] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_handle_client_input() end
[1285747372.122409] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_handle_client_input() start
[1285747372.122414] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_add_input_data_item() start
[1285747373.307410] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_convert_string_to_unsignedlong() start [1285747373.305240] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_db_escape_string(smb://filer.local/~/test is writeable) start
The service in question:
[1285747373.301632] [001.2] [pid=21989] ido2db_db_escape_string(OK: CPU Load 0% (Current load)) start

can you search for the locations where it points to "sighandler" being called. short explaination: ido2db dies for some reason (child dies, parent stays alive). then idomod spits out "error writing to datasink". i want to verify what exactly happens in ido2db.debug *before* it dies. you can clear sensitive information, or attach the ido2db.debug to a private mail to me, if you want to.

kind regards,
Michael

Event broker is set correctly.

    Hi All,

    I'm seeing some pretty weird behavior. Icinga-web does not seem
    to be seeing a service I setup a few hours ago but icinga classic
    does. Any ideas? Nothing in the app/data/log except for one of my
    failed auth attempts. I've also cleared the config cache and made
    sure ido2db/icinga/apache were all running.

    Running off of a git master clone of core/api/web.

    please check if idoutils are working properly. any errors in
    syslog / icinga.log about that? can you specify which rdbms you
    are using as backend?

    and please also try to do the steps described in the docs for
    icinga-web and possible errors.

    kind regards,
    michael

    Thanks,
