Hello all,
I'm trying to get icinga 1.2.0 working with the icinga-web interface. I
downloaded and installed icinga-web 1.2.1 and it installed fine, but
when I access it I'm getting an internal server error 500 and in my
apache logs I see this:
[Mon Nov 22 11:19:54 2010] [error] [client x.x.x.x] PHP Fatal error:
Uncaught exception 'AgaviException' with message 'A libxml version
greater than 2.6.16 is highly recommended. With version 2.6.16 and
possibly later releases, validation of XML configuration files will not
work and Form Population Filter will eventually fail randomly on some
documents due to *severe bugs* in older libxml releases (2.6.16 was
released in November 2004, so it is really getting time to
update).\n\nIf you still would like to try your luck, disable this
message by doing\nAgaviConfig::set('core.ignore_broken_libxml',
true);\nand\nAgaviConfig::set('core.skip_config_validation',
true);\nbefore calling\nAgavi::bootstrap();\nin index.php
(app/config.php is not the right place for this).\n\nBut be advised that
you *will* run into segfaults and other sad situations eventually, so
what you should really do is upgrade your libxml install.' in

Now the trouble comes in that I do have libxml installed and it is
2.6.16, but it's called libxml2 on my system since I'm using Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 4. In Red Hat 5 they started calling it libxml. :(
libxml2: /usr/lib/libxml2.la /usr/lib/libxml2.a /usr/lib/libxml2.so
/usr/include/libxml2
rpm -qa | grep libxml perl-libxml-perl-0.07-30
libxml2-devel-2.6.16-12.8
libxml2-2.6.16-12.8
perl-libxml-enno-1.02-31
libxml2-python-2.6.16-12.8
So, do you think I might have luck creating a symlink somewhere or has
anyone experienced this before? I did try going into /usr/lib and
creating a symlink from all libxml2's and making them libxml's same in
/usr/lnclude but that doesn't appear to have worked. I'll take all
suggestions!
Thanks!
Missy
