As per the very first comment in the site version, it won't get clobbered on an upgrade so config in that file would remain after an update. >Because the how-to says *or* but another user on this list said he had to edit >both. Both, I doubt that, more likely there was an inconsistency and one or another param that was right was picked up... On another note, if your bind user is in an OU that has space, the php code isn't written to allow for that, I submitted a bug last night. Do check the logs as you work through this as they will provide valuable insight.
