I'll provide some screenshots of the Core UI interface that says 1.5.0... And it was cloned from github about a month back.

cool. you are also well aware that you should have mentioned that in the first place that you are using a developer snapshot from git instead of pointing into nowhere right? don't get me wrong but support between officially released and just-in-development versions is different and also difficult.

furthermore - github? i am not aware of any official git clone over there. so by just telling "1 month ago" this won't help identifying the exact version you are currently using (in production...).

And concerning the 1.0.2 icinga we're well aware that it's old. We'll be upvamping it to the latest distribution both in OS and Icinga version once we've finished a script to convert/inject the logfiles into the mysql database to retain the history. Or does it support having both log-files and mysql database when doing a history report?

fact is, you are using a debian packaged 1.0.2-2 with a github built 1.5.0 sourced from somewhere. did you test with same versions? are you able to reproduce this error on 2 test boxes? how are those packages/sources built?

However, I'm still perplexed over this strange issue...

well thanks for the pointer. we will now flag the git master explicitely as $version-dev in order to identify such a foo in the first place when demanding the version being used.

kind regards,
michi
