I have this already and also doesn't help with my problem, AFAIU.

use_ssl_authentication just selects which CGI env var is taken from the
webserver as the authenticated username.

My problem is (I guess) that I can't set the short_name of a contact to
a DN (because of all the special characters like / and " ") which is
however needed as Icinga compares it with the authenticated username, in
order to determine whether it's an authenticated contact, too.
