the question is usually - show your design, service numbers, varieties 
of checks, plans for the future (in size, distributed, addons, etc). 
further, any plans of using a database on the same host, or seperated. 
etc etc. so do your homework and then ask again ;-)

pacemaker is a good choice, and database replication as well, if needed.
