FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday - A cold, damp, rainy day with a light easterly breeze at 4-6 knots.
Breeze got a little better as the day went on and got above 6 knots at times.
Races were all Gold Cups and were long with the strong current from all of the
rain. No protests and one request for redress that was denied. Big breeze
forecasted for tomorrow. Thanks to judges Vanessa Lipschitz (Brown 04) and
Chase Hogoboom (Brown 03) and to all the Brown sailors who braved the cold on
race committee.
Sunday - Another cold day, but without the rain and much better breeze from the
N/NW at 8-16 knots. All course were windward/leewards with gates (3,4, or 5
legs). Very shifty and up and down pressure made for some tight races and
numerous lead changes. Thanks to Vaneesa Lipschitz and Joel Hanneman for
hearing a few protests, some resulting in DSQ's. Congrats to Boston College
for winning yet another intersectional.
