FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday:Five races sailed in A divisions and 4 sailed in B division.
Gold Cup courses used for all of the races. The wind was increasing as the day
progressed. A and B managed to sail two sets in 15-25 MPH winds with some big
waves.
After 4 B we sent the sailors to the harbor to check the equipment and regroup
after
several Boats sticking masts in the mud. A division had a 12:30 harbor start
for race
5A. The wind was strong from the SW at 20-30 MPH. Several boats flipped and
the RC decided to postpone racing for the day. Two protests heard, resulting
in one DSQ.
The forecast for tomorrow is good with the wind at 19 MPH from the NE.
Thanks to Harry Smith, Katie Lovell, Joe Pitcavage, and Seth Siegler for
hearing the protests.
Sunday: Completed 4 A and 5 B races for a total of 9 races in each division.
Gold cup courses used for all races. The wind was from the NNE at 8-18 MPH and
decreasing as the day went on. No Protests filled. Congratulations to USF
and Charleston for qualifying for the ICSA Dinghy Nationals.
