These are the results for: Ferrarone Team Racing Intersectional @ Yale April 8-9

Regatta Report: The Ferrarone Trophy

Day 1, Saturday April 8, 2006

Saturday saw a strong day of team racing despite frigid temperatures and
drizzle, changing from sleet to snow by the second group of boats. Wind was
steady from the north, starting at 10-15 knots and dropping to 3-5 by
mid-afternoon. The 12 teams competed in a total of 30 races across two rounds
on a digital N course. In the morning round, five protests were heard,
resulting in three DSQs. No protests were heard in the afternoon. Competition
ended earlier than planned due to slow wind and dangerously cold conditions,
with the second round and Silver Cup slated to resume on Sunday.

Day 2, Sunday April 9, 2006

Sunday started with a sail-off between Charleston and Boston College, which
resulted in Charleston getting the final spot in the gold fleet. The top 8
teams sailed against each other, and the fleet was further divided with the top
6 in the gold fleet. A full round robin was then sailed for both the gold
fleet and the consolation round. Races were sailed in 8-12 from the north,
dying to 3-5 before shifting to a sea breeze, which started at 12 knots and
died to 5 knots. Digital N courses were sailed all day. Special thanks to our
judges, Karl Seibert, Jamie Ewing and Meredith Killion. Furthermore, thanks to
all the Yale sailors who helped out.
