SEISA Women’s Championship 2006
Hosted by Texas A&M University at Galveston
April 22, 2006
Regatta Highlights:
With a northeast breeze blowing at 10 knots in Offatts Bayou, racing
commenced with combined A and B divisions of three schools. Twelve
races were completed, as the sea breeze and the northeaster
alternated across the course; at times, we had 10 knots from the SE
and 5 knots from the NE. This made for challenging racing. No
protests were filed.
Thanks to the entire TAMUG Sailing Team in support of
the championship event. Also, we extend our sincere appreciation to
Steve and Pam Senneff for their work as Principal Race Officer and
race management coordinator.
Congratulations to the women of the University of Texas Sailing Team
for winning the SEISA championship and qualifying for the 2006 ICSA
National Championship.
