SEISA Sloop Championship

September 23, 2006

Fort Worth Boat Club

Ft. Worth, TX

Final Results

It was nice for SEISA to host a sloop champs this year after
consecutive cancellations for Katrina and Rita in 2005. Competitors were
greeted with one of the first cold fonts of the fall with thunderstorms and
heavy rains forcing the regatta to begin under postponement. The weather
passed and the rest of the day was perfect 70 – 80 degrees with winds 12-18
from the north and clearing skies.
Thanks very much to the Fort Worth Boat Club for their hospitality and
use of their J-22's, (especially since they need them to host the US Match
Racing Championship next week). It was also very nice to see two new SEISA
Sloops teams break into the top three, congrats to Oklahoma and Oklahoma
State for sailing a great event and surprising a lot of people.

The Fort Worth Boat Club (www.fwbc.com) will be the host of the ICSA Sloop
National Championship next year.
