Hap Moore Team Race
October 7-8, 2006
United States Coast Guard Academy

Saturday: A nice 15-20 northerly breeze started the day off,
unfortunately the wind did not last very long and began its ever
unsettling back and forth swing from due East to due North. The wind
varied from 3-18 for the remainder of the day before finally settling
down back were it started from the North. In all 60 races were
completed sailing the college style N-course. Thanks to the Coast
Guard Cadets for moving marks non-stop all day. Thank you to our
judges Mike Hennessy and Pat Dillon who heard 10 protests resulting in a
few DSQ's. 6 more races to go to finish off the first round robin.
Format for Sunday will be a single Gold and single Silver round robin
to finish things off. Here are the results so far: RP info will be
entered at the end of the Regatta.

Sunday: 3 races were completed in a dying northerly to leave just 3 to
complete a full round robin. After waiting for a couple of hours a
great Southerly filled in at 6 knots. One round robin along with a
single gold and single silver round robin were completed for a total of
96 races. Courses sailed were the college style N-course. Thanks to
our judges George Crocker and Trip Alyn who heard one protest resulting
in a DSQ. Thanks also to the Coast Guard Cadets for again running great
races. Hopefully you are all able to open the scoring grid attachment
but here are the results and RP info. Congratulations to St. Mary's on a
great win.
