Regatta Highlights

Saturday
Fourteen course fives (8 in A Division and 6 in B Division) were sailed
in what began as a strong Southwesterly breeze before turning to a Westerly and
rising
to 15 knots for the last couple of sets of the day. It was choppy, making for
very
challenging conditions for most of the competitors. One protest was heard
resulting
in a DSQ as well as a redress for a breakdown on the water.
Sunday
A further ten
course fives (4 in A Division and 6 in B Division) were sailed. The races were
sailed
in breezy conditions once again with the wind blowing between 8-15 knots from
the
West all day. There was plenty of chop, with waves averaging at 3-5 feet.
Prostests were heard resulting in two DSQs.
Congratulations
to all competitors for succesfully surviving through some very challenging
conditions!
