Sunday: The breeze came in around noon from the SE and eventually went to SSW.
Four races were sailed in each division in a shifty 5-12kts. Again there was a
strong flowing current resulting in numerous general recalls and tricky runs.
Courses were windward leewards with an offset and a gate.
On the water judging was used on both days to enforce rule 42 and to monitor
fouling. Judges blew whistles to note visible/audible flagrant fouls. Under
this system 36 voluntary spins were performed (720s and 360s). 2 warnings were
issued for rule 42. There were two requests for redress with one granted and
one protest resulting in a DSQ.
Saturday: It was a clear, chilly day on the Thames River with a shifty
northwesterly breeze starting at 12 to 15 knots with puffs around 20 knots. The
breeze tapered off towards the end of the day to around 5 to 10 knots.
