26th Lynne Marchiando Team Race, April 7th-8th at MIT
The Championship Round was a hard fought and cold battle as sailors were battling 20-25plus west/ northwest breezes with very cold conditions. Tell tales didn't show the shifts because they were frozen in position and the jib sheets froze up in the blocks. Racing was abbreviated to a single round robin after a lunch break to hear one protest and thaw out. High temp reached 38. Congratulations to the Yale team for winning a very tough event in trying conditions on the Charles River. All races were umpired using the limited umpire system. Huge thanks to all the NEISA alumni and MIT Sailors who umpired and helped run the regatta.
