SEISA Team Race Championship
April 14-15, 2007
Hosted By Texas A&M University at Galveston
The SEISA Team Racing Championship ran 38 races; 30 on Saturday and 8
on Sunday.
On Saturday, winds were NW at 20-30 knots, gusting to 35, under
mostly sunny skies and
temperatures in the low 70's. To facilitate race management, the
November courses
were run close under the weather shore in the channel. Despite
numerous capsizes, there were
no breakdowns. Sailors were treated to a Tex-Mex Fajita lunch cooked
adjacent to the Sailing Center.
Sunday's conditions were especially clear, with NW winds from 5-12
knots.
After completion of four sets of rotations, Tulane and the University
of Texas were tied for second place.
A single race sail-off determined the second place team to be UT.
Congratulations to all teams for successfully competing in
challenging and rewarding conditions.
Final positions were: 1 TAMUG; 2 UT; 3 Tulane; 4 USA; 5 TAMU
All competitors especially thank the following people for their

The entire TAMUG sailing team (who performed admirably in keeping all
boats operational
despite windy conditions and lots of mud on sails), the Dominquez
family (for the delicious fajita lunch),
