Saturday: Extremely tough conditions on the Thames River. The breeze
constantly shifted back and forth from the North to the South ranging from 3-12
knots. Although the tide was in a fload in the morning it was always running
out which made starting in the Southerly difficult with many general recalls,
and starting in the Northerly pleasant for the Race Committee. All courses
sailed were a course 5 at approx 22 minutes. 4 races in each division were
completed. Thanks to out Judges Sue Riley, George Crocker and Mike Horn who
heard one protest resulting in a DSQ and one Redress was awarded. Thanks also
to PRO Doug Clark and all the Coast Guard Cadets for running great races in
trying conditions. Results are set up for a show down on Sunday.
