Today featured fabulous racing conditions in Annapolis for start of the 2007
Kennedy Cup Big Boat National Championships.

Nine teams turned up to contest this year's event aboard the Naval Academy's
fleet of 44' sloops. Regatta PRO Bruce Bingman and his team got off three
windward/leeward races in oscillating northeasterly winds that ranged
between 12 and 20 knots.

Navy's team got off to a fast start with three aces today and led at every
mark but one. Massachusetts Maritime Academy is in second with 12 points
and Kings point in third one point further back.

Racing continues Saturday and Sunday.
