Dear Conference Coordinators, Coaches, and Sailors,
Many of you should be aware that Singlehanded Nationals for both High School and College Sailing will be occurring at Cornell University on back to back weekends this coming fall (Cressy Oct 17-19, ICSA Oct 24-26). Since, signing up to host this event several years ago, the University has chosen the dates for a few big events which happen on our campus each fall. The events, Trustee Weekend and Family Weekend, will conflict with High School and College Nationals respectively, and put a large strain on the hotels available in the area. We have been diligent in calling most of the hotels in the area and were able to secure several blocks of rooms for each weekend. * We would advise that each conference book several rooms to be passed along to sailors and coaches within their conference, to avoid the possibility of a team having to stay outside of Ithaca.* Attached you will find details on the blocked rooms and a list of hotels in the area in case you wish to look for an alternative to what we have been able to secure.
