Saturday Results:
Highlights: 8-13 Knots Easterly. The breeze started more NE-ENE and moved
more towards the ENE-E throughout the afternoon. Sunny skies and warm
temperatures turning cooler. Great day of sailing. Crew races held off the
starting time as well as restricting the days end but still 6 good races were
sailed in each division. Courses were Modified Port Trianges with a avery
shallow reach mark (close to starting pin). Long first beats and initially
moderate second beats. Second beats became longer as the breeze moved directly
east. The races were incredibly close at each mark rounding as well as the
finish. The majority of the fleet often finished less than a minute apart. No
protests. One capsize with a quick recovery. Three minor breakdowns that were
fixed between races with short delays. One recorded breakdown and one redress.
Portable toilets were supplied for the sailor's convenience. An EMT was on
duty throughout the races.
