Assistant  Men's and Women's Sailing Coach, Old Dominion University invites applications for the position of Assistant Men's and Women's Sailing Coach, a full time 12 month, faculty-administration position. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach in administrating, coaching, instructing the varsity sailing program. To include: on-the-water coaching, workout and practice organization, regatta management, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of team members, knowledge of NCAA and ICSA rules, sailing instruction, fleet maintenance, fund-raising and promotion of the sailing program within the community.

 

Qualifications: Master’s degree or bachelor’s with experience equivalent to an advanced degree, collegiate sailing experience (athlete/coach) required. Sailing coaching or teaching experience, collegiate experience (athlete/coach) preferred, USSA Level 2 preferred; effective interpersonal skills required.  Previous fund-raising or marketing experience a plus.   Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
