Hood Trophy @ Tufts
September 27-28
Day One results

No wind until noon. A light NNE filled in straight down the lake, shifting left a bit at 2-4 knots. Three A races and two B races were completed with some short postponements waiting for puffs to start races. Race 3 A finished in a seven knot puff from the ENE but in the ensuing scramble to move marks, it became clear that the gust was a temporary downdraft preceding the biggest burst of rain all day so the fleet was sent in at 3:50.

All courses were course four with an offset and leeward gate. A port-line boat was used in place of a starting pin to help catch premature starts which worked well except for one general recall. Hopefully we'll have a nice Northerly tomorrow.
