Hello Navy Fall Intersectional Competitors,

We look forward to hosting you all this coming weekend in the Navy Fall
Intersectional. This will be a huge regatta, with 20 teams competing in
four divisions. In order for the event to run smoothly and for you to have
the best possible experience here, please note the following items.

1 - Parking will be extremely limited on Saturday morning. The entire
Brigade of Midshipmen will be taking part in physical readiness testing on
the fields next to the Crown Center and the parking will be closed. There
is some parking on the other side of Santee Basin, but you should plan on
getting here early so you can be sure to get parked and down to the Crown
Center on time. Everyone should plan on entering the Academy through gate
8, as it will be difficult to get here from other gates. Once the PRT is
completed around lunchtime, you should all be able to move your vehicles
closer to the Crown Center.

2 - This weekend is also the Powerboat Show in town, so expect traffic, both
on land and on the water, to be fairly heavy. To get quality racing in, we
may need to move the course away from the Academy and put coaches and subs
on the water in Navy 44s. While the first plan will be to have spectators
and coaches on shore, please be prepared to send everyone out on the water
if necessary.

3 - Depending on conditions, we may run two courses, one for Lasers and
Radials and another for 420s and FJs. Rotations will take place on the
water and we will stagger lunch breaks so not everyone is on shore at the
same time.

4. - On Saturday afternoon, the Naval Academy Sailing Squadron will be
sponsoring a Barbeque for all competitors when we get off the water. Please
stick around and join us for some great food and camaraderie.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you all at
Navy this weekend.

Best Regards,

Ian Burman
