NWICSA Sloop Qualifiers 2008
University of Washington
October 18-19, 2008
Highlights: Sailors completed eight races under a clear sky and a balmy 5-8
knot northerly. Racing took place in Thistles, the venue, CYC Leschi on the
south end of Lake Washington. Courses were windward-leewards, once and twice
around, lasting around half an hour each. As the rotation was completed on
Saturday, there was no racing on Sunday. A big thanks to all the boat owners
who generously and enthusiastically volunteered their boats to be sailed.
Also, thanks to race committee Paul Stewart (UW '08), Kyle Eaton (LC '06).
Congratulations to Western Washington University for sailing an outstanding
event and good luck at Nationals!
