As teams arrived on Thursday and Friday a tropical storm blasted the islands with 30-60 knot winds. It was quite a seen as all public schools closed and the University of Hawaii canceled classes and all events on campus. The two days that followed ended up to be very, very, very shifty with wind out of the North, East, South and oh yes the West. None the less the race committee did their/our best and everyone had a lot of fun. We had a great dinner in honor of Peter Wenner on Saturday night and we thank Marcy Fleming and Bo Wheeler for opening their beautiful home to about 75-80 very hungry college sailors. Congrats to the Brown University team who will if the 1st team to have their school name engraved on the Peter Wenner trophy. Thanks to all the teams that came out to sail with us over the weekend.
