USF WOMEN'S INTERSECTIONAL University of South Florida February 21-22, 2009 FINAL RESULTS REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: USF Women's Intersectional - nine teams sailing in the new fleet of 20 FJs. Morning winds were 12 knots from the east, with choppy seas on Tampa Bay, but died throughout the day. Persistence was rewarded, and the final set was sailed in a light seabreeze. One breakdown awarded, no protests. Loving their jet lag, Hawaii leads by 9 points over Navy, with USF 3rd. SUNDAY: Light 5-6 knot breeze oscillating between NE and N with a strong incoming tide all day resulted in numerous general recalls. All courses were modified trapezoid, averaging 14 minutes long. No protests. Thanks to all the competitors for a great weekend of racing, and congratulations to the winning team of Navy. A division = 18 Races B division = 18 Races A 0 A B TOT 1. Navy 68 60 128 2.
