SUNY Maritime, a 4-year engineering and sciences college located in Throggs Neck, NY (the Bronx), is looking for a new coach to replace the incumbent as he moves on to graduate school. The position has a competitive salary and benefits and is uniquely positioned to give the candidate maximum exposure to excellent sailing in MAISA, NEISA and the entire ICSA.
Candidates should have a superb command of dinghy sailing and should be thoroughly familiar with the ICSA and its policies and procedures. Highly qualified applicants will have competed in college sailing and worked as a coach for 2+ years. Experience with offshore sailing and keelboat racing is a plus, as is an interest in community sailing. A bachelor's degree is required. The official job description is below.
