Southern New England Team Race
Connecticut College/US Coast Guard Academy April 4-5, 2009 Saturday at Coast Guard: One full rotation was completed at CGA for a total of 36 races. Racing was tight and all over the place as there was a very strong and puffy westerly. Wind ranged from 5-30 knots coming over the hill resulting in numerous capsizes and unstable combinations. Combine all that with 2 knots of current on the bottom of the race course and it was a great day of team racing. Top five from CGA and Conn will report to CGA for a shot at the SNETR title. Thanks to all the CGA cadets for running a great event in tough conditions. Thanks also to Kerry Sullivan who along with the coaches heard protests.
