REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: 20 races were completed in a great day on the Thames River.
Breeze was
SSW all day ranging from 6-12 knots. Current was flowing out all day
at around 1 knot.
All racing was done from 11:00 until 4:00 when the breeze finally shut
off. In a great
showing of sportsmanship many 360's and 720's were performed on the
water resulting
in not one protest being lodged with the race committee. A big thanks
to all the
CGA Cadets for running great races. Here are the results so far
Sunday: 16 races were completed in very tough conditions. Wind was
N/WNW, W, and SW.
IN all 18 races in each division were sailed. All coursed were W-4's
with a windward
offset and leeward gate. Zero protests filed resulting in Zero DSQ's.
Thanks to all
the Coast Guard Cadets who give up there weekends time and time again to
help run some
of ICSA's biggest events. Go Bears...
