SAILGROOVE.ORG TO BROADCAST COLLEGE SAILING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - May 21, 2009 — In less than a week, the
Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) will begin the finale to
its season, and the highlight of the 2008-2009 college sailing season,
its dinghy national championships. From May 25 to June 3 San
Francisco, CA will play host to over 300 sailors competing in three
day long championship regattas for women's sailing, team racing, and
coed dinghy racing. Sailgroove.org, the premier site for sailing
video, will be on hand to deliver it all.
Throughout the college sailing season, Sailgroove has been keeping
tabs on the action, profiling this year's top teams, and covering
regattas with video interviews and race coverage. Since the site's
inception in October, 2008, the core of Sailgroove has been the
college sailing world. But all the hundreds of interviews, the dozens
of teams featured and the many regattas broadcast each weekend have
all been leading up to this, the granddaddy of them all, Nationals.
For the event, host Chris Love will be in San Francisco with help from
Pat Hitchins and other guests from around the sailing community. Each
day will feature up to date video coverage of the racing and its
participants, as well as daily live broadcasting, streaming over the
internet for free. Viewers will be able to follow the drama as it
unfolds, from anywhere in the world.
