ICSA/ APS National Team Race Championship

For the Walter C. Wood Trophy

Cal Maritime Academy & University of California, Berkeley

Treasure Island Sailing Center

May 29-31, 2009



Notice of Race (amended 5/28/09)

1. Rules: The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, including Appendix D, the current ICSA Procedural Rules, the General Conditions for the ICSA Championships and the Conditions for the ICSA/ APS Team Racing Championship, except as any of these are modified by the Sailing Instructions.

2. Boats: The event will be sailed in “west coast style” FJs as provided by the host.

3. Eligibility: All entrants must meet ICSA eligibility requirements and have qualified in a conference elimination event according to the Conditions of the event.

4. Fees: Entry fee is $225 per team and includes Awards Dinner tickets for up to 9 competitors.

5. Schedule:

Friday, May 29 8:30 am Check in / Registration

            9:15 am                         Competitors' Meeting

10:00 am Warning signal for first race of Group A

1:00 pm Reporting time for Group B competitors

Saturday, May 30 9:00 am Reporting time

            9:45 am                        First Warning

Sunday, May 31            9:00 am                         Reporting time

            9:45 am                         First Warning

5:00 pm No starting signal after this time

            6:00 pm                         Awards Reception

6. Advanced Registration: Teams shall register no later than May 19, 2007 by completing the entry form and e-mailing it to Charlie Arms, carms at csum dot edu.

7. Housing: Teams are responsible for housing and reservations. Hotels are listed on the regatta web site (http://teamracing2009.wordpress.com/ ) under Travel Information.

8. Sailing Instructions:  Will be available at registration.

9. Transportation: Many national carriers serve SFO, SJC, OAK airport.

11. Meals: Except for banquet as described, all meals are the responsibility of competitors.
