The Stanford University Sailing Team is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant coach starting the Fall of 2009!

Job Description: We are looking for a coach who has College sailing experience both as a coach and as a sailor. A College degree is a requirement. The position would include coaching at practice and regattas as well as working with the head coach to develop practice each day and a plan for the season. The Coach will also be responsible for teaching 1 PE class in the Fall and 1 in the spring. The Assistant coach will also be responsible for all media relations both on the website and print, as well as doing the hiring and organization of the Stanford summer camp, but the Assistant coach will have the summer free to compete and do other coaching. There will also be light boat work in maintaining our fleets.

We have a very competitive travel budget as well as great support for our student athletes like a Strength coach, Trainer and team doctor. Stanford has also supported the team in building an incredible sailing center with 18 1 yr old FJ's and 9 1 year old 420's, the sailing center also has a full kitchen, laundry room and locker rooms.
