Hey Sailors!
Just a few notes about Pirate Cup this year:
I understand that it ended up being scheduled on the same weekend as
Coed Champs, and thus will make it hard for varsity sailors to help out
their JV, but this may also make a good opportunity for a newer person
in leadership to take charge and organize your team. We will have a few
LC grads, and maybe a few PSU grads, around to help run the regatta, and
assist all the sailors in understanding how the procedures of a regatta
work. The JV event in the fall organized by PSU was run quite well, and
operated mainly as a teaching experience, and we hope to make our
regatta the same way. There won't be much in the way of charters though,
and for that I apologize. We will do what we can to have boats
available, but they will probably be used up quickly. Please let me know
as soon as you can about the likeliness of your team actually attending
this event, we hope to make it a big success, but don't want to waste
anyone's time if it just isn't the year for it. Hope to hear from you
all soon.

*Pirate Cup Regatta Notice of Scrimmage*
April 10th & 11th, 2010
Host: Lewis & Clark College
*Rules*
The Regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the ICSA
Procedural Rules and the Sailing Instructions.
*Eligibility*
This event is aimed at sailors who will benefit most from a non-varsity
regatta. However, varsity sailors are allowed and encouraged to come
help their team succeed at the event.
*Format *
The regatta will be a 2-Division, non-rotational event.
*Boats *
Racing will be in FJs. Some charters will be available, and will be
given to those with the furthest travels.
*Location *
The Racing will be held at Willamette Sailing Club in Portland, OR.
