18 teams converged on the US Merchant Marine Academy for the Admirals Cup regatta. After a delay until 2:45 due to lack of wind, 9 races were run in each of the 3 divisions in an increasing sea breeze. Shifty conditions and current flowing up the course made for a tricky day on the water with numerous OCS boats. 1 breakdown request was heard and granted to Dartmouth.
