The northwest team race qualifier was completed on Saturday May 8th with a total of 18 races being sailed. Wind and weather was very fluky and unpredictable throughout the day. Racing began with a light (4-5 mph) wind from the south that eventually rotated around to a steady easterly of about the same speed. Towards mid-afternoon thunderclouds rolled in, bringing with them a good northerly breeze but eventually the course was abandoned due to a short thunderstorm. When racing was continued we saw a steady 6-7 mph breeze from the west to complete the third and final rotation. Congratulations to University of Washington to their solid win. Results are attached.
