ICSA Teams and Sailors,

Kings Point is excited to host the ICSA Match Racing National
Championship on November 19-21! A couple of things for teams and
conferences to remember as we approach the regatta:

1. The regatta will be sailed in our fleet of 10 new Sonars.

2. The ICSA Conditions of the NATIONAL INTERCOLLEGIATE SLOOP
CHAMPIONSHIP spell out some critical elements of the regatta, including
schedule, format, gender requirements and weight limit. Make sure to
read them to be prepared for the event at
(http://www.collegesailing.org/nas/conditions/icsa_match_race_conditions
_201008.pdf).

3. The conditions mandate that each team shall include at least one (1)
female member.

4. The Notice of Race states that "The number of crew (including the
skipper) shall be four or five." While it is a team's choice to sail
with four or five, most high-end match racers HIGHLY RECOMMEND sailing
with four, as the Sonar becomes very crowded with five in the cockpit.
Our team from KP will sail our conference qualifier with four crew.

5. The weight limit for each team is 772 pounds.

6. Each team member will need to register with the ISAF and have their
SailorID prior to the competition.

7. There will be a banquet for all competitors on Saturday evening.
Attire will be casual (long pants and collared shirts).

Good luck in your conference qualifiers and we look forward to hosting
all of the teams for an exciting event!

Regards,

Blaine and Kings Point Sailing
