Hap Moore Team Race
US Coast Guard Academy
November 6-7, 2010

Regatta Highlights:
Saturday: Great racing on the Thames River. 55 races were completed
for the 12 teams in the 2010 Hap Moore Team Race. All races were in a
Ebb tide around 1.5 knots with wind ranging from 4-10 knots. All races
were the college digital N. Thanks to the panel of Umpires, Peter
Johns, Ted Green, Greg Kiely and Leo Berendes who made some great calls
on out the water and heard 3 protests at the end of the day. Thanks
also to the Coast Guard Cadets and staff for running races. Here are
the results with 11 races left to finish the round robin. The plan
will be to finish the round robin and to sail a single gold and silver
round. I hope everyone remembers to change their clocks and sleep in
tomorrow.

Sunday: More great conditions on the Thames river as competitors were
greeted by another strong Northerly. 11 races were completed to finish
the round robin followed by a single Gold and Silver rounds for a total
of 96 races over the weekend. There were some great redress hearings
and black flag protests resulting in Limited Redress and one DSQ.
Thanks again to the umpires listed above for a great weekend. Final
results with all RP info will follow these overall results.
Congratulations to Boston College who with the win earn the right to
host the Hap Moore Team Race next year.
