Eight races were completed over the two day series in what could be called
trying conditions at times. The College and High School fleets sailed off
the Belmont Memorial Pier on what will be the same course for the PCCSC and
PCISA Conference Championships and the ICSA Semifinals giving some of the
east coast teams their first taste of the venue (though we predict much more
wind for the end of April).

While parents and spectators lined the pier for a bird's eye view of the
race course the 30 college and 26 high school teams raced on a modified
trapezoid course in the Long Beach harbor. Winds ranged from 3kts to at
times 8kts and the break wall provided for nice flat water. This was a
great switch for the teams who have sailed this event before and remember
the cramped course inside the marina.

Congratulations to Boston College Eagles for winning the 26th Annual Rose
Bowl Regatta and to UC Irvine for being the top west coast team.
