We had a beautiful day in Charleston for racing with temps in the 70s and clear
skies. A below average low tide in the middle of the afternoon did put a dent
in some of the racing, but at the end of the day, 6 A division and 4 B division
W4s were completed. The breeze was between NNW and NNE all day around 8 knots.
We completed a set before postponing ashore for an extended lunch break that
lasted during max ebb. 4 A races and 2 B races were sailed during the tide
switch and made for good racing. There were no breakdowns and 1 protest was
filed, resulting in 1 DSQ (Rule 13).
