New boats, new sails, 18 teams including the British University Sailing
Association all-star team and an incredible cast of former College Sailing
superstars to run the St. Mary's Fall Intersectional--everything we needed
except breeze.

Ted Hale (SMC '10) served as PRO with a great supporting cast from Leah
Anderson Magana (SMC '02), Raoul Magana (Georgetown '01), Maggie Lumkes (St.
Mary's '08) along with some undergraduate Seahawks kept the four races square
and fair in light North/Northeast breezes in a late morning session. The jury
chair Keith Mayes had expert RRS 42 advice from Kyle Assad (BU '06) and Justin
Law (SMC '08) who threw a few yellow flags to settle down the early season
jitters for some.

The Teddy Turner Waterfront and James P. Muldoon River Center provided a nice
place for everyone to hang out while we waited for the breeze that never came
following a lunch break. Thanks to KC Fullmer for serving as ICSA
Intersectional representative. Everyone hoping Sunday conditions are better up
and down the east coast. Charleston leads after two races in each division.
