Day one of the Danmark Trophy started with a beautiful Northerly breeze
with relatively little current. Six races per division were sailed
before the competitors took a short lunch break. After lunch the breeze
was much less cooperative, shifting from the Northeast to Northwest with
occasional spots on the racecourse with very little air. That on top of
a strong flood made for very challenging conditions for the final four
races in each division. All courses were W-4 except the last B-Division
race which was a W-3. One redress was filed and granted to fix a
scoring error and one protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. Thank you
to our judge, Judy Krimski, for hearing these and policing all day on
the water.

The Hobart and William Smith Statesmen are leading with 103 points after
an impressive performance in A-Division. The Tufts Jumbos sit in 2nd
with 145 points and the Connecticut College Camels are in 3rd with 162.
Tech score is currently only showing nine races per division but all
scores are entered so hopefully they'll pop up sometime tonight.
