Sailing fans, This is very late notice, but I want to alert you to a fantastic service for following all the action at the ICSA Semifinals in Annapolis this weekend. The Navy sailors will be posting live updates from the regattas on http://new.livestream.com/collegesailingnationals. This is a brand new platform by Livestream LLC that I will be using in a few weeks for my broadcast of the ICSA Nationals, presented by Maclaren. The service is also used by the Volvo Ocean Race for all its in-port races and starts.
This technology allows the producers to simultaneously share live, streaming video, recorded video highlights, photos and text. While Navy won't be streaming this weekend, they will be posting all the important updates, along with photos and video clips taken with iPhones on the racecourse. You can view it all on a single page and leave comments and questions as well.
