Report from PRO Jon Duffett, CGA '11:

It was a solid day of racing on Saturday at the Nickerson Trophy, hosted
by the US Coast Guard Academy. It looked pretty shaky in the morning,
but once the southerly filled in blowing 5-7 kts, racing conditions were
great. Some remaining shifty breeze and changes in current throughout
the day made for a dynamic race course that current leading teams Boston
College, Stanford, and URI (in that order) were able to take advantage
of. Racing ended when the breeze fiddled out around 5pm. Seven A races
and six B races were completed. With thoughts of the ensuing Hurricane
Sandy on the mind, report time was moved up to 9am for Sunday.
