Saturday's races were sailed in a flukey Northwesterly breeze ranging from
10-20 with gusts above 20kts. 9 A races and 6 B races were sailed on course 4s
and 5s with 3 race sets to maximize racing time and to limit messy rotations
off of the North facing changing dock. Yale is off to a strong start with
B-division winning 5 out of the first 6 races!
Sunday's racing started at 1030AM in a moderate, but shifty, Southerly. Large
wind shifts sprung one or two boats each race way out ahead creating a handful
of horizon jobs through the day. The breeze finally ramped up to the forecasted
conditions bringing huge puffs, touching 20kts, for the last set of the day
that saw some spectacular wipeouts. 6 B races and 3 A races were completed on
course 4s and 5s. Thanks to Jackson Chabot for helping move marks and rescue
flipped boats, and to Kerry Sullivan for hearing one redress, which was denied.
Finally, huge kudos to the Yale B-division and BU's Cristina Wiley who went out
of their way to help rescue capsized boats between races.

Congratulations to Yale on winning the 2013 President's Trophy!
