Team Racers, The MIT Nautical Association and MIT Sailing are pleased to announce the return of Thursday Night Team Racing for the 2013 season on Thursday, May 30th. Following a successful debut last year, weekly team racing returns to the Rivah this summer in MIT's fleet of color coded collegiate Firefly dinghies. Last year, the Thursday night series averaged six teams per week, with a wide range of ages and skill levels ranging from high school sailors, to current collegiate racers, to a wide range of alums. Racing starts at 5:30pm, and takes place just feet from the MIT sailing pavilion, allowing multiple round robins to be completed each evening. New teams are created each week, so registering with a team is never needed. With boats provided, and teams created for you each week, there is no easier way to enjoy a summer of team racing.
Looking to sail but in need of a skipper or crew? That is perfectly ok! We will match sailors and make sure everyone gets on the water. To sign up, please visit http://sailing.mit.edu/Racing/team.php to register for a sailing card and join the team racing email list. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and I hope to see you on the water this summer!
